Let's tell your story

The Munch project

The conversation before the cut.

It started with a camera
and a love of food.

I created Munch to spend time with London's chefs and tell the stories behind their food. What began as a few collaborative films grew into more than a year of independent work: six cinematic chef stories, a studio conversation series and supper clubs built around film.

From the intimacy of a favourite restaurant to a room full of people sharing a meal, the thread was always the same: give people time, listen closely and make something worth sitting down for.

01 / Chef stories

More than a dish.

Portraits of people, places and the food that connects them. Six chef stories. Restaurants, family recipes and the journeys behind them.

02 / TABLE STORIES

GOOD FOOD.
REAL CONVERSATION.

Chefs and friends, a little hob and a recipe that means something. An original studio series by Chris Lefevre, developed with Chef Nam - giving people space to cook, talk and be themselves.

Full conversations for YouTube. Standout moments for social.

A GROWING
CHEF COMMUNITY.

The same people, beyond the screen. Connections made through the series, with Chef Nam helping bring guests together.

03 / The supper clubs

Watch the story.
Taste the food.

The next chapter brought the films into the studio. Guests gathered around a table, watched the chef's story on a projector and ate the food made by the chef that evening.

With Jake Norman, the idea was to screen the making of each course before it arrived at the table. A further supper club with Nam continued the experiment: food, film and conversation in one room.
